East Coast Athletic Club members turned out in force to takeover Larne Parkrun for the morning.

Parkrun offers free, timed 5k courses throughout the world and participants are encouraged to run, jog or walk the distance.  Larne Parkrun starts and finished at Dixon Hall and incorporates 2 loops of Carnfunnock Country Park.  Club members volunteered their time to encourage and cheer on parkrunners and completed all of the finish line tasks.  81 people from 11 clubs took part, 13 of whom were first timers and 6 recorded New Personal Bests.  The event is held every Saturday morning at 9:30 am.  For further information and to take part in Larne Parkrun by running, jogging, walking or volunteering please go to http://www.parkrun.org.uk/larne/
