The 5k course will start and finish in Carnfunnock Country Park.

The start will be close to the Visitors Centre within the park and take runners through the trails and the forest before finishing back at the Games Field.


The 5k race will start at 8pm sharp close to the Visitors Centre in Carnfunnock Country Park.  Athletes will be walked to the start line from the Games Field by Race Officials at 7.50pm.


We recommend that all athletes enter online prior to the event - this can be done HERE.

Pre-entry is £10 and this increases to £12 if entering on the night.

All pre-entered athletes will be given a FREE head torch.  If you are entering on the night, you MUST bring your own head-torch.  You will NOT be allowed to run without a head-torch.


Registration will open at 5pm, closing sharp at 7:45pm for the 5k event.  Registration desks will be situated in the 'Games Field' in Carnfunnock Country Park.

If you have pre-registered, you still must visit the registration desks to collect your race number and head torch.

If you are registering on the evening, please ensure you leave enough time to complete all relevant forms and collect your race number.

The Monster Mile's registration will open at 5pm and close sharp at 6:45pm.  Registration desks will be situated in the 'Games Field' in Carnfunnock Country Park.

There will be ghoulishly good prizes for the best Halloween costume for both adults and juniors.


The 5k will be fully timed (manually) and all results available shortly after the event on the East Coast Athletic Club website.  It is essential that participants have their race number visible at all times.


There will be frighteningly good prizes available for the top three male and female competitors in the 5k event.

Spot prizes will also be available afterwards at the prize giving in the bbq area.


The host club, East Coast Athletic Club will provide autumnal post race refreshments including a BBQ and hot chocolate.


There will be ample parking available within the grounds of Carnfunnock Country Park and also at Drainsbay.
